Hungarian films were awarded at the International Film Festival AGROFILM 2017
Three outstanding Hungarian films, awarded by the 2017 Gödöllő International Nature Film Festival, won the special prize at the 33rd International Film Festival AGROFILM 2017 in Nitra, which aims at topics and current issues of agriculture, food, nutrition and rural life, to make it known and popular with the movie screen. All three Hungarian works have emerged from the field thanks to their special approach and theme selection, said Kerner Jaro, chair of the jury.
The Bee Pastures, Poroszka Zsolt's, Hungarian nature filmmaker's film, which deals with the topic of bee-killings caused by improper use of pesticides, was awarded Prize of the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development of the Slovak Republic.
The work of József Sáfrány's, Pastorale, was awarded Prize of the Rector of the Constantine the Philosopher University in Nitra. The film is depicting disappearing values on the canvas.
Takács Rita's Helicon Life project, which presents the efforts to reduce poison eagle poisoning, was awarded Prize of the Rector of the Technical University in Zvolen.
The submission of the films have been promoted with the support of the Ministry of Human Resources. Through continuous recruitment to foreign festivals, our aim is to present a wide range of outstanding Hungarian works as well as the unique natural and cultural values of the Carpathian Basin that they present and to help the artists at the international field.
